Botanical Art in Coloured Pencils

Taking inspiration from nature, we will learn about drawing and colouring botanical subjects in the popular and realistic medium of dry coloured pencils. Demonstrations of basic techniques will be given for those new to the medium, and tuition will be individual, so that this workshop will be suitable for all levels of ability.

Selection of good quality coloured pencils

Good sharpener (suggest rotary)

Susan Hillier is an established illustrator and botanical painter, has exhibited widely,and illustrated many books.
She has worked as a scientific illustrator for the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, and has painted Orchids for the RHS, from whom she has several medals. Susan is a founder member of the Society of Botanical Artists and a tutor on their
diploma course, she has extensive experience teaching art at all levels.
